The Ministry of Education and other 15 member units of the national joint conference mechanism for the comprehensive prevention and control of myopia among children and adolescents jointly issued the Bright Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Myopia among Children and Adolescents (2021-2025) to guide students to consciously love their eyes and protect their eyes, reduce their academic burden, strengthen outdoor activities and physical exercises, scientifically standardize the use of electronic products, implement visual health monitoring, and improve their visual environment Eight special actions were taken to improve the quality of professional guidance and correction, and strengthen vision health education.
On January 4, 2022, the National Health Commission issued the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" National Eye Health Plan (2021-2025) (Guo Wei Yi Fa [2022] No. 1, hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") to continuously promote the high-quality development of China's eye health during the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" period. The National Health Commission interpreted the Plan in detail.
It is proposed that "relevant mandatory standards should be issued to strictly regulate the fonts and papers of teaching materials, teaching aids, examination papers, exercise books, newspapers and other printed materials, publications, etc. for children and adolescents, as well as lamps and lanterns for learning, so as to protect their eyesight".
The collection of the public version, the children's and adolescents' version, the teachers' and parents' version, and the medical and health personnel's version of the core information of the health education on myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents.
